Officer Candidates

We are pleased to announce that the following men are approved and recommended as candidates for service on the Session or Diaconate for the class of 2027. Please be in prayer for these men and get to know them if you do not already. Officer elections will be held at a congregational meeting on Sunday, June 2nd immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service.

Elder Candidate

Vicente Jaime is a new candidate for the office of elder.

Vicente is a native of Juarez, Mexico, and has lived in San Antonio for 24 years. Vicente and his wife, Gloria, have two adult children, Andres and Daniela. The Jaime family came to Redeemer in 2012. Vicente is a Content Specialist at Tri-Lin Integrated Services.

Vicente provides Spanish translation of Redeemer’s Sunday worship services, has served as a deacon at Redeemer, and is an active member of the RPC City Missions Team.

“It’s exciting to be part of a church with a vision of being a church in the center of our city that reflects its multicultural character and takes the aroma of the Gospel to every corner of it,” Vicente says.

 

Elder Candidate

Zack Burkhart is a returning candidate for the office of elder. Zack is a native of San Antonio. He and his wife, Jenny, have three children, Rebekah, 15; Benjamin, 12; and Joseph, 9. The Burkhart family came to Redeemer in 2014. Zack is President of High Outpost Enterprises. This will be his second term on the Session.

 

Elder Candidate

Winston Meeker is a returning candidate for the office of elder. Winston is a native of San Antonio. He and his wife, Tammy, have 7 children ranging in age from 14 to 27. The Meeker family first came to Redeemer in 2010. Winston is Release Manager for Software Products at Bible Study Fellowship. This will be his fourth term on the Session.

 

Elder Candidate

Jeremy Whitley is a returning candidate for the office of elder. Jeremy has lived in San Antonio for 25 years. He and his wife, Angel, have two adult children, Emily and Mason. The Whitley family first came to Redeemer in 2005 after friends invited them to the Redeemer Christmas Party. Jeremy is the Executive Director of Operations at Redeemer. During Redeemer’s pastoral transition, Jeremy served as Moderator of the Redeemer Session. This will be his third term on the Session.

 

Elder Candidate

Alan Williams is a returning candidate for the office of elder. Alan is a native of Dallas. He and his wife, Amanda, have four children, Trammel, 13; Wynne, 11; George, 9; and Ruthie, 6. The Williams family first came to Redeemer in 2012. Alan is Co-President of B.C.W. Food Products. This will be his second term on the Session.

 

Deacon Candidate

Jim Dante is a new candidate for the office of deacon. Jim is a native of Maryland. He and his wife, Lori Dante, have two adult children, James and Julianna. The Dante family has lived in San Antonio for a total of 19 years, moving away once and returning, and first came to Redeemer in 2003. Jim is a Staff Engineer at Southwest Research Institute.

“The teaching at Redeemer has played a pivotal role in my life and Lori’s over the years we have been in San Antonio,” Jim says. “We have grown in our faith in many unexpected and transforming ways. I am excited by the new opportunities God is putting before Redeemer even now and excited to serve at Redeemer and encourage others to more fully know God’s grace and step into God’s work.”

 

Deacon Candidate

Dr. Lane Naugher is a new candidate for the office of deacon. Lane is a native of Denton, TX. He and his wife, Paige, have four children, Hattie, 11; Luke, 8; Ben, 6; and Hannah, 4. The Naugher family first came to Redeemer in 2017. Lane is an orthopedic surgeon with TSAOG Orthopedics & Spine.

“I am excited to serve with the other officers and see God continue to work in and through the church,” Lane says.

 

Deacon Candidate

Craig Goedecke is a returning candidate for the office of deacon. Craig grew up in Dallas and moved to San Antonio after college. Craig and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children, Paul, 14; and Greta Mae, 12. The Goedecke family first came to Redeemer in 2006. Craig is a Senior Business Development Executive with Iron Mountain. This will be his fourth term on the diaconate.

 

Deacon Candidate

Chip Nance is a returning candidate for the office of deacon. Chip is a native of Corpus Christi and has lived in San Antonio for 18 years. He and his wife, Jessica, have three children, Hannah, 6; Amelia, 3; and Nolan, 2. The Nance family first came to Redeemer in 2012. Chip is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Bank of America Private Bank. This will be his third term on the diaconate.

 

Deacon Candidate

James Sedgwick is a returning candidate for the office of deacon. James is a native of San Antonio. He and his wife, Laura, have three children, Nori, 15; Jonah, 13; and Selah, 11. The Sedgwick family came to Redeemer in 2007. James is a Senior Manager of Operational Finance at CPS Energy. This will be James’ fourth term on the diaconate.
