Bob George

Elder

Bob George and his wife, Terry, are founding members of Redeemer. The Georges have two sons, two daughters-in-law and are the proud grandparents of Lucy, Clarey and Tres.

Bob, an Elder at Redeemer, is a San Antonio native. He retired in 2018 from the Alamo Group, Inc., where he served as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. He and Terry have served as Community Group leaders, in Training in the Pews, the Nursery, and on the Greeter-Usher team. Bob has previously served as Treasurer at Redeemer and also as a Deacon. Terry currently serves as a Deaconess at Redeemer. Bob and Terry are known for having visitors to Redeemer over to their home for lunch on Sundays, and many Redeemer members recall Terry being the first person to greet them when they visited Redeemer for the first time.

The Session feels that Bob’s long commitment to the work and vision of Redeemer, his generosity, hospitality and experience in prudent financial stewardship will be an asset to the RPC Pastoral Search Committee as we seek a leader to guide Redeemer both pastorally and organizationally.
