Bringing the heart of the Gospel to the heart of the child.

The Kingdom of God values children. God has chosen to work through the institution of families as a primary means by which the treasure of the Gospel is passed on. As a result, Children’s Ministries at Redeemer are one of our highest priorities. We want to help your children learn about Christ, his redeeming love, and our great need for him in our lives as Savior and Lord. Below are links to acquaint you with the opportunities our children's ministry offers.

Sundays

  • What to expect on a Sunday morning when you worship at Redeemer as a family.
  • Nursery at Redeemer is for children ages 3 months to 4 years old.
  • CE (or Christian Education) Classes are offered during the 11 a.m. worship service for children ages 4 through 5th grade on or before September 1st.
  • Training in the Pews is offered during the sermon of the 9:15 a.m. worship service for children ages 4-6. Children sing and hear an age-appropriate Bible lesson.
  • Guests, pre-register your children here for easy check-in when you arrive at Redeemer.
  • Policies and Procedures (PDF) to pursue child safety at Redeemer.
  • Building Layout Map for both upstairs Nursery and downstairs Children’s Education classrooms.

OTHER CHILDREN’S MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

VBS is Redeemer’s annual 4 day summer program that is full of energy and fun for kids from Redeemer and all over San Antonio.

Children’s Choir is offered at various times during the year, often preparing to sing during the Advent and Easter seasons. There will be announcements in the bulletin before each new season of Children's Choir.

Baptism for children is offered for the children of church members and for those coming to profess their faith in Christ for the first time.

Communion at Redeemer is open to all baptized Christians who have been admitted to the Lord’s Table. Redeemer offers a Communicants Class for children and resources to assist parents in the process of helping their children prepare to take communion.

Resources for Parents are provided by Redeemer’s staff in the hopes that each parent will take their God-given responsibility of spiritual nurture and care of their children seriously.
