Erin Hurt

At-Large

Erin Hurt and her husband, Morriss, have been members at Redeemer since 2017. The Hurts have three sons, Hudson, 10, James, 8, and William, 6.

Erin, a native of Pittsburgh, PA, met Morriss in New York City, where she served as Connections Coordinator for the Journey Church. After their marriage in 2005, the Hurts moved to San Antonio, where Erin worked in medical device sales. They began attending Redeemer in 2016 after being invited by friends.

Erin is currently enrolled in the Masters of Arts Biblical Theological Studies program at Covenant Theological Seminary. At Redeemer, Erin has served as a Training in the Pews teacher, member of the Communion Prep Team, and on the Greeter-Usher Team. Erin has co-chaired the Women’s Ministry Prayer Committee, hosted Women’s Ministry events and serves as a leader for Women’s Bible Study.

The Session believes Erin’s eagerness to jump in and serve in Redeemer’s ministries as a newer member and her commitment to pursuing theological study while putting that learning to work as an active ministry leader at Redeemer will be an asset to the committee as we seek a leader to continue our culture of servant leadership.
