Henry Sauer

Elder, Co-Chair

Henry Sauer and his wife, Mary Kessler, have been members at Redeemer since 2005. Both are natives of Houston and moved to San Antonio in 2004. The Sauers have four children, Henry IV, Wyatt, Lindy and Lucy.

Henry, an Elder at Redeemer, is a leader in the Human Resources field. He led all the major HR functions at Rackspace, and served as Chief Human Resources Officer at the company of 7,000 employees until 2016. Henry has since founded and serves as the Principal Consultant of Headwaters HR Consulting, which works with businesses in multiple industries across the U.S. in need of expert HR advisory services. Henry is also a board member of the Alamo Heights Business Incubator.

Henry has served as a nursery volunteer, men’s ministry leader, community group leader, team captain for Redeemer Serves the City, Training in the Pews leader and Deacon. The Session believes that Henry’s experience as an Elder and his professional grasp of hiring and recruitment will be an asset to the search committee.

Henry is appointed to serve as a Co-chair of the RPC Pulpit Committee.
