Pablo Chavarria

Assistant Pastor of Spanish-Speaking Ministries

Pablo Chavarria is a native of Monterrey, Mexico. He serves as Assistant Pastor of Spanish-Speaking Ministries.

Pablo and his wife, Velia, met while working for Deloitte Financial Services in Monterrey. Early in their marriage, they began to feel a call to ministry. What started as a small group in their home became Cumbres Del Ray Church, and Pablo was ordained in the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico. At first, Pablo pastored part time while continuing his work as an accountant, but eventually he was able to move into full time ministry. The Chavarrias led Cumbres del Rey for 13 years, and during that time they welcomed their daughter, Grace.

The Chavarria family came to San Antonio in 2020 to assist with Redeemer's Spanish-Speaking Ministry. Pablo transferred his ordination to the Presbyterian Church in America in 2024 and was installed as RPC Assistant Pastor of Spanish-Speaking Ministry.
