Join us for Redeemer Serves the City, a joyful day of serving our neighbors and loving the city of San Antonio! On Saturday, May 18th, Redeemer teams will go throughout the city to serve, work, and do mercy projects. Here's what you need to know, and some information about our Jeans and Shoes Drive for our CAM (Christian Assistance Ministry), one of Redeemer's City Ministry Partners!
- Please RSVP to allow us to accurately plan projects and assign teams! Redeemer coordinates projects for Redeemer Serves the City with our city ministry partners based on the needs of their organizations, families or clients. In order to plan well for teams and supplies, we need many volunteers and an accurate head count.
- There will be activities for all ages and skills so we encourage you to bring your families!
- Meet at 8:00 a.m. in Redeemer's parking lot. (903 N. St Mary's St.) We will enjoy breakfast tacos and coffee and receive instructions. You will meet your group leader and drive to your service site.
- Projects will conclude by 1 p.m., so you do not need to pack a lunch, but snacks may be helpful.
- Dress comfortably - work clothes and shoes.
- Contact RPC Ministries Coordinator Kim Barton with questions.
Jeans & Shoes Drive for CAM
Help us stock the closet of RPC City Ministry Partner CAM (Christian Assistance Ministry) with a Jeans & Shoes Drive! Between now and May 18th, bring donations to Redeemer and place in the donation box in the foyer. Here's what is most needed at CAM:
- All donations should be new or mostly-new.
- Jeans: Blue jeans for men, women and children are needed. Men's jeans with a waist size of 28-32 are especially needed!
- Shoes: Athletic and casual shoes for men and women. No cleats, heels, or dress shoes.

Our first time to join in Serving the City we had really no idea what to expect. Our team worked hard and was able to make a big difference in the yard of the house we were assigned to clean up. These families could now have their kids outside in the yard because it was cleaner and safer. We also got to know our team - meet people we may not have met otherwise. It was a great opportunity to be a blessing and be blessed!
