Vacation Bible School

Calling all hikers! It's time to gear up for Upward Bound Vacation Bible School June 3-6 at Redeemer! Registration is open for students & volunteers!

Vacation Bible School is a highlight of the summer at Redeemer!

Our campus is full of kids, teens and adults engaged in music, laughter, learning, worship and fun. Our halls come alive with the theme of our VBS, story-tellers are in costume and our snacks even coordinate with our theme.

Pack up that backpack! Redeemer's 2025 Vacation Bible School is a summer campout. Join us as we gather the tents and prep the campsites. We will be hiking our way through the week, gearing up with the Truth of the Gospel along the way. On this page is everything you need to know.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our main VBS program is for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall.

Children entering Pre-K4 in the fall and whose parents are volunteering with VBS will be invited to Pre-K 4 VBS. Students in Pre-K VBS will attend the opening and closing assemblies of VBS. Their classes will follow along with the themes and fun of our main VBS program.

The Redeemer nursery is open by reservation for children ages 3 months to 3 years old whose parents are volunteering with VBS. Nursery is offered for VBS Volunteers 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (drop off at 8:45). Please note that we have VBS themed and developmentally appropriate stories, crafts, snacks, recreation time, and activities planned for the 2's and 3's in the Nursery area.

The cost is $10 per child. Scholarships are available upon request. Contact Sara Brouillard for scholarship needs.

All volunteers must be signed up to volunteer by May 18th. Please read the important information below regarding training dates and Redeemer's Child Protection Training certification requirements for VBS volunteers.

Mark your calendar for a mandatory VBS Volunteer Training on Sunday, May 18th in the Fellowship Hall at 10:30 a.m. immediately following the first worship service.

ADULT VOLUNTEERS: Adults 18 years of age and older must complete the Child Protection Training Process. This summer, many volunteer certifications completed when our policy was first put in place are about to expire and need to be renewed. Your certification must be fully updated in order to volunteer at VBS. Please contact Sara Brouillard to check on your volunteer certification status.

Nursery is available for children whose parents are volunteering with VBS.

YOUTH VOLUNTEERS (entering 6th grade in the fall through age 17):

Volunteers 12 years of age and older need to complete an application and background check as part of our Child Protection Training Process. Parents should contact Oscar Palin to begin that process for a youth volunteer.

All volunteers must be signed up to volunteer by May 18th.

VBS Celebration - Friday, June 6th at 11:40 a.m.

This year to highlight the culmination of our VBS program, we will be hosting a celebration for our VBS participants, their families, and our volunteers! Join us for a recap of VBS through singing and a slide show of the week’s events! It will be held in the sanctuary at 11:40 a.m.

VBS Showcase - Sunday, June 8th

Join us at our Sunday church services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. to showcase our time at VBS, singing one of our VBS songs for the congregation. Wear your shirt and show off our fun!

Things to know before you arrive for VBS

  • VBS shirts are included in the registration cost. You can pick yours up the first morning of VBS when you check in.
  • Dress your children in clothes that can get messy. We love to have fun and sometimes messes are part of that!
  • Please don't send any toys, extra clothes, or backpacks. We rotate throughout the building during the day and it is difficult to keep up with extra belongings. We want your kids to be free of any extra responsibilities. (But diaper bags are welcomed and encouraged in the nursery!)

Drop off and pick up

  • Please arrive by 8:45 a.m. the first day to get checked in and find your correct group. There will be greeters at the registration tables to help point you where you need to go!
  • All students must be checked in each day by an adult at our kiosks at the registration table. These are located in the foyer across from the sanctuary.
  • After elementary-aged children are checked in at the registration table in the foyer, they may be dropped off inside the sanctuary with their group. Your child will be placed in a group according to grade level.
  • If someone other than you will be picking up your child, please let your child's Group Leader know when you drop them off. The group leader will take down a name and phone number for the person who is picking up your child. Please text a picture of your child's check out sticker to the person picking up your child so they may show it to group leaders during check out. That person will be required to show picture ID to the group leader to verify the correct adult is picking up your child.
