A Prayer Gathering for Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville.

Redeemer members and friends,

Grace and peace to you in Christ Jesus, our Lord, who has stepped all the way down into death and the grave to bring life, the life and hope of God, even there.

By now I am sure you are aware of the shooting that took place yesterday at The Covenant School in Nashville. Covenant Presbyterian Church is a longstanding congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America and many PCA pastors and families in South Texas and throughout the PCA are connected to it. We at Redeemer join with so many in our denomination in grieving with the Covenant School community, our sister congregation at Covenant Presbyterian Church, and the city of Nashville.

In times of great loss and darkness, God invites us to cry out to him in prayer, and we believe that it is appropriate for us to do this together as a congregation. The pastoral team and Session of Redeemer invite you to gather for a time of prayer this Wednesday evening, March 29^th, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary at Redeemer. Childcare will be provided. We hope you can join us as we mourn with our brothers and sisters and pray for God’s mercy and provision for them.
