Dear Redeemer Members and Friends,

Today Redeemer celebrates 16 years of worshipping together as a congregation! By God’s grace, Redeemer continues to be an exciting and growing church community. This was especially true in 2018, which felt like a Holy Spirit whirlwind of activity.

This year we launched Northwest church plant Trinity Grace Church, completed a capital campaign, welcomed a new pastor, and celebrated the completion of the Children’s Ministry expansion downstairs, which has both children and parents rejoicing! Along with these milestones we saw significant transition in Redeemer’s membership. God led many longtime members out of San Antonio, but He also brought many new faces to Redeemer.

As 2019 begins, I am eager for each of you to find your place at Redeemer. For that to happen, let me encourage you in three areas:

Connection: Connection is at the heart of RPC’s community groups, bible studies, fellowship events and conferences. If you are new, plug in and pursue relationships. Remember, 25 percent of the church just got here!

Mission: Forgetting one’s self and serving others is critical to the process of finding a place in the church. In the pages of this ministry report there are dozens of avenues to volunteer. Just do it. You won’t be disappointed!

Shepherding: Your elders really care about you and pray for you! Let me encourage you to get to know your shepherding elder and tell them how they can pray for you or your family.

Though Redeemer has become a much larger church, we all need church to feel smaller so that we can meaningfully participate. Whether you are a long-time member or just arrived, my hope is that this report on what God is doing at Redeemer will encourage you to jump in and find your place here.

Happy Anniversary, Redeemer!
