2024 End of Year Giving Update
Dear Members and Friends,
As we look back on our 2024 ministry year, there is much to be thankful for. We held our bi-annual Culture Conference in April, with our guest Dr. Brian Fikkert better equipping us to love our neighbors well in the face of material and spiritual poverty. We continued focusing on shepherding the congregation well, led by Rev. Dr. Bryant McGee, whom we installed as Associate Pastor of Congregational Care in June. Our Spanish-speaking ministry is growing beautifully under the leadership of newly installed Assistant Pastor Pablo Chavarria. Our celebration of the food and culture event, “Taste and Sí,” was a huge success. We rejoiced as brothers and sisters in Christ, experiencing a small taste of the joy promised when earth and heaven will be one.
We continue to pray that God will lead 50 unbelieving people to know Jesus Christ through our church's ministry. Attendance in our worship services and Christian Education programs is growing. We have maintained our commitment to supporting missions in San Antonio and across the globe, including sending teams to support our partners in L’viv, Ukraine, and Reynosa, Mexico. We give thanks for how God has blessed your commitment to these works, including your prayers, generous financial support, and the many ways you extend warmth and hospitality to our guests. Many new members have joined our church this year, and they have blessed us abundantly. Praise be to God, and thank you!
God faithfully renews all things to Himself in Jesus Christ. He has shown Himself faithful over the past 21 years of Gospel ministry in San Antonio. May these blessings remind us that our work is not done and that our labor together will bring glory to God. As the Apostle Paul writes to the Colossian church:
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. – Colossians 3:17
God is at work in and through the people of our church, its leaders, staff, and congregation. You play an essential role in this story of grace. Your generosity, sacrificial participation, and joyful engagement have been vital to Redeemer’s success.
As we approach the end of the year, let us praise God for His provision for Redeemer’s financial strength. We have already received $2,365,024 in tithes and offerings, which is ahead of last year’s giving. As expected at this time of year, a gap remains to be addressed so that Redeemer can meet our annual budget. The Session anticipates needing slightly over $1,000,000 in additional tithes and offerings before December 31.
Your giving has enabled our church to meet or exceed our budgeted goals for many years, and we hope to do the same this year. Achieving our goal creates meaningful ministry opportunities, allowing Redeemer to contribute more to our ministry and mission partners and address our operational and strategic priorities locally and globally.
The Session asks you to sacrificially and prayerfully consider your year-end giving, ensuring that Redeemer meets or exceeds all our ministry priorities. You can make your gifts today in the Redeemer SA mobile app, at www.redeemersa.org/Give, or by mailing a check to the church office at 903 North Saint Mary’s St., San Antonio, TX 78215.
Again, thank you for your faithful participation. Our future has never been more exciting!
For Christ our Redeemer,
