Rainy days are great for drought-stricken South Texas, but not so good for a building project.  The major work happening right now is pouring the piers to develop the foundation for the new Entry into the building.  Rain has slowed this process somewhat.  But, over the next two weeks, you should be able to watch the steel structure being erected as you drive by the property.  With so much work happening only on the inside until now, it will feel gratifying to watch more exterior work on the Entry and site progress.

On the inside, the Sanctuary continues to take form.  The ceiling is complete, the wall features are close, and a new window has been cut.  The stage is currently being built and stage lighting is being installed.  The rest of the upstairs is receiving lights and ceiling panels.  In fact, they are even putting on the first coats of paint.  Downstairs, the walls and sheetrock are complete and the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors are hard at work. When they finish in a few weeks, we’ll pour the concrete for the floor over the old pool and fill in any uneven places in the basement.

Much of the discussion has changed from major construction to detail finishes.  Please continue to pray for the detail-oriented process of completing all the small but important features of the project.  Pray for good weather and safe working conditions.  Also, remember that on Sunday March 16th, we’ll host an informational meeting after worship to update you on a number of items related to transitioning into the building.  Please be in prayer for this entire process.

Tom, I'm excited for you and your church.  As I am not very detail oriented, I know what it is to pray for the details.  Very exciting to read what God is doing.  Blessings.
