Letter from Reverend Paul Hahn

Redeemer members and friends,

Grace and peace to you in Christ Jesus our Lord! It is with great joy and much excitement that I accept the call to serve among you as Lead Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Fran and I loved our weekend with you and we look forward to being there again the weekend of November 20^th. We will worship on that Sunday before Thanksgiving around the theme of giving thanks to God as a first response to the gospel of Jesus. Thankfulness gets you and keeps you in front of Jesus. Please make plans to worship with us that Sunday and bring friends with you! We then plan to be with you again the first weekend in December.

Please know that we thank God for each of you. I am so grateful that the Lord led you to extend this ministry opportunity to me to serve alongside Matt, together with Victor, Jeremy, and all your amazing staff team and church officers.

There are two important steps ahead in our journey together for which the Hahns would welcome your prayers:

• Please pray for the approval of my call to Redeemer by the South Texas Presbytery when it next meets in January. Pending that approval, I would then be formally installed as Lead Pastor at a special service at Redeemer, likely in February. More details on that and our twentieth anniversary celebration as a church to come!

• Please pray for our shared time between Los Angeles and San Antonio across these next few months. We plan to be in San Antonio one long weekend in November and December, then for one eight-day stretch each month, across two consecutive Sundays, beginning in January. This will be our planned schedule until we complete our time at Pacific Crossroads Church, which will be in June 2023 or whenever a new senior pastor is in place here, whichever comes first. And do pray God’s blessings on the pastor search process here at PCC.
